I've tried to live my life the best I could.  I really have.
But it gets so confusing at times.
I really have a lot of questions about things -- life, you know -- that sort of thing.
I just don't seem to be satisfied the way my life has been going.

Lately, things have changed in my life.
I need to think about some things, make some decisions, make some changes.
But I don't have any idea how.
I need some direction in my life.
But I don't really know which way to go, or where to turn.

I always followed the crowd.
Hey, when I went to church (a long, long time ago) I went to a BIG church!
You know, go where the people are, go where the action is.
But frankly, I got tired of religious guys telling me what to think, and what to do.
I haven't been back for a long time.

So, I've made my own way, built my own life.
Hey, I was even pretty successful.  Well, I made some money.
Up until now, everything seemed to be working.

But lately -- I don't really know how to explain it --
I feel like I've been getting nowhere fast.
The faster I run, the less I get where I want to go.
The harder I work, the more frustrating everything seems to be.
I know there has to be an answer somewhere.

I get the distinct impression that someone is turning the pages in the book of my life, really fast.
I'm afraid I may get to the end of the book before I ever read it!
I need some reassurance.  I need some answers.
Does anybody out there have any answers?
