Dear
children everywhere:
I
don’t want to introduce you to someone who is not nice.
I
don’t want to burden you with things to do that will make your life
harder.
I
don’t want you to have to learn things that would trouble your
thoughts.
I
don’t want to ask more of you than you have to give.
I
don’t want to take up your time with trivia.
I
don’t want to cause you unhappiness and hopelessness.
I
don’t want you to have problems that seem unfixable.
I
don’t want you to ever feel that you are unworthy of love or reward.
I
don’t want any opportunity for love to ever escape you.
I
don’t want you to be frightened of the looming dangers in this world.
I
don’t want you to lack for anything.
That’s
why I’m coming to you.
I’m
trying to understand why it’s so difficult to seek knowledge and help
from God.
Why
is His love difficult to gratefully take?
He
asks so little but gives everything.
Why
can’t you see?
Why
can’t you take?
Why
aren’t you amazed?
Why
aren’t you continually praising and thanking the Creator for all
things?
Why
do I care?
Because
I love you.
