The Ekklesia

It's oh, such a marvel when love reigns so true.
It happens so seldom and to very few.

The mind knows it's happening and pleasures begin,
But the heart is the sensor that shouts from within.

It's perfect, this something so rare and so fine.
It's given so freely, and God says it's mine.

It's peace, and it comes in the quiet of times,
When the mind thinks, the heart speaks, it's this that I find:

It's peace that surpasses what man can afford,
It's the love that you give me that comes from the Lord.

It's not proud or puffed up or haughty or high;
It's that certain something that says "God is nigh."

And it's right in that place that you have in my heart
That tells me you love God, and that's how it starts.

You show me you love by the kindness you do.
You help me by smiling, by showing me you.

It's the peace, it's God's Spirit, your outgoing love.
It's so precious and perfect, it comes from above.

I thank God who sent you -- He always provides.
I thank you for letting His Spirit reside.

It's oh, such a marvel when love reigns so true.
It happens so seldom and to very few.

I've found it with you.
